Meet Geri, aka geriFree, a powerful voice and emerging DJ from Los Angeles. After being released from prison during the COVID era, she joined Give a Beat’s “On a New Track” reentry program to learn DJing, music production, and business development.
What started as a new challenge turned into a passion—and a path to healing. With mentorship from Angela (aka Spiñorita), Geri built her confidence, found her purpose, and began envisioning a future where she gives back through music, education, and community work.
From crafting DJ sets to creating curricula, Geri is redefining reentry on her own terms.
