Anthony McDuffie, Jr. is an Author, Motivational Speaker, and Spoken Word Artist, whose impactful journey unfolds through the pages of his debut memoir, Grit Grind and Glory. As a youth leader and motivational speaker, Anthony has made a profound impact at nonprofit organizations such as Give a Beat, Sanctuary of Hope, and the Power of Hope Summer Youth Camp in Oakland, California, among many others.
Emerging from 15 years in prison with a second chance at freedom, Anthony seized every opportunity to redefine his life. His transformative journey includes graduating from Give a Beat’s “On A New Track” Reentry Mentoring Program in 2021, where he not only became a performing artist but also found his voice as a motivational speaker.
Since that pivotal period, Anthony has shared his story nationwide, connecting with like-minded individuals domestically and internationally. His diverse experiences have cultivated a profound mission – to ignite motivation and inspiration among the younger generation, propelling them towards their utmost potential through mentorship, interactive workshops, and compelling motivational speeches.
In recognition of his commitment to mental well-being advocacy, Anthony achieved certification as a Mental Health First Aider from the National Council for Mental Wellbeing in 2023. This certification underscores his holistic approach to mentorship and motivational speaking, emphasizing the importance of mental health awareness and support.
As Anthony prepares for the launch of his second book, My Life in Poetry, he continues to weave his experiences into a tapestry of words. This eagerly anticipated book is poised to resonate with audiences, providing a deeper understanding of the resilience and creativity that define Anthony's unique narrative.
