Meet Our On A New Track Graduates

Sithy Bin

Sithy (pronounced like “City”) has an infectious positive attitude, who taps into a diverse range of music in his DJ sets and is discovering ways to express himself through music.

His most recent DJ gig was for the grand opening of Inglewood Wrapping Arms Around the Community & Dream-Live-Hope Foundation.

Sithy’s goal right now is to start branding himself by creating a motto, logo, and t-shirts to represent his brand. In addition, he wants to begin producing more music, so he started working on a song with his mentor, Camille.

Aside from his motivation in music, Sithy is a dedicated worker to help those reentering society. He is the Case Manager for Friends Outside in Los Angeles, Co-Founder of the Made New Foundation, and works closely with numerous reentry organizations.

Geri Meyers

With over 20 years of experience in the fitness industry, geriFree’s journey began with the simple love of movement. Knowing that her passion was always about more than fitness, she developed her philosophy that quality of life begins from the inside out. Her class became known for their upbeat soundtracks and she found herself heading to the dance floor as a DJ.

Starting her career in On a New Track, she made a name for herself with her infectious spirit and energy. She creates original music as well as curates her “Steppin Out” music series on Soundcloud (link: https://bit.ly/3uGKbST)

Having just turned 60, she knows first hand what it means to evolve and transform throughout life. She aims to inspire people and show what is possible when you keep working on yourself from the inside out. She loves to use her talents to benefit causes close to her heart, such as supporting victims of domestic violence. Whether it’s a fitness class, in the studio, or on the dancefloor, you don’t want to miss out on the geriFree experience.

Koeppell McDade

Koeppell was the youngest member of the On a New Track group at 22 years old, but is arguably the most experienced.  A multi-talented artist, Koeppell’s array of music production, DJing, singing and rapping instills an authentic curiosity as to what's to come next.

We asked what his goal is, and he shared, “Music is my therapy so my only goal is to express that to others in a form that we can all relate to.”

Alejandra Pablos

Alejandra is heavily involved in activism, focusing on restorative justice, imigration + deportation, and abortion rights. She produced her own podcast series focused around interviews with other activists like herself, which launched in October 2021.

Her outspoken energy is infectious and visibly inspired the rest of the group to be more comfortable in sharing their thoughts and ideas with the class. While her end game differs from the rest of the group's musical ambitions, she can still throw down on the decks and can produce, engineer and mix within Ableton Live. She’s specified that she’s only interested in DJing events that serve as educational spaces, aiming to bring intention through music.

Juan Gutierrez

Juan is a talented developing artist who has embraced the challenge of learning and growing as a musician during his time with On a New Track.  Already equipped with a background as a vocalist, Juan has been dedicated to cultivating his DJ skills and has demonstrated early success with music production, even adding a MIDI keyboard to his arsenal.

Juan’s passion for music and commitment to learning a variety of ways to express himself will surely serve him well moving forward. He’s already created numerous demos using Ableton, and plans to grow his soundcloud profile.

Anthony McDuffie

Anthony reported no prior experience with live music before joining On a New Track, and little experience with beat-making, but his passion was palpable. As a producer, his ambitions are focused on learning and implementing all of the tools and techniques he can. Also a spoken word poet, Anthony is skillful in pulling at heartstrings through his poetry.

A familiar raised hand with an insightful question on production or branding, and even arranging 1 on 1 production sessions with his mentors and teaching artists, Anthony has always been determined to excel. Two of his favorite artists include Styles P and Lil Baby as he, in his own words, “relates to the artist's struggles and life experience.”

Sean Wilson

Sean is a natural leader who brings the same discipline and attention to detail from his career to how he approaches music production. His intelligent questions and eagerness to learn have served him well while developing as an artist. His primary interest lies in trap music, where he intends to make beats for artistic and commercial use.

Sean’s current goal with music is to learn how to make beats that inspire people, while also using music as an outlet for fun.
